Monica elected to IPC Athlete's Council
Today, the IPC announced that Monica has been elected to the IPC (International Paralympic Committee Athlete's Council), following a successful election campaign during the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
This is particularly poignant for Monica, as today is the marks 3 years since her treatment began for colon cancer, and she couldn't be more excited about her new role...
“I’m proud to be representing fellow Paralympians in an amazing, progressing movement for elite achievement, and I want to continue that and be a part of it, be a voice,” said Bascio.
